How do fabric and texture look realistic in furniture?

Perceived quality in furniture comes largely from fabric texture. GlareAR defines fabric and leather surfaces through PBR material channels: base colour, roughness, normal map and weave pattern are separate layers. That layered structure lets multiple fabric options derive from the same sofa geometry.

How do you build a "see it in your room" feature for furniture?

The feature is built with WebAR. GlareAR produces the product's 3D model as USDZ for iOS and glTF/GLB for Android and adds an AR button to the product page. The button opens AR Quick Look on iOS and Scene Viewer on Android, letting the shopper place the product in their room at 1:1 scale without installing an app. On desktop, where AR is unsupported, the button is hidden and a rotatable 3D viewer is shown instead.

Does AR really reduce furniture returns?

Yes. Modular products are built by producing each module as a separate 3D object and assembling them in the scene, which rearranges as the shopper adds or removes modules. This takes more setup than a single-piece product because connection points and valid combinations must be defined as rules.

My products have no CAD files — can 3D models still be produced?

Yes. Without CAD, the model is built from the product's dimension table and multi-angle reference photography. Because dimensions come from the spec table, 1:1 accuracy in AR is preserved. Compared with CAD it takes longer to produce and leaves some interpretation on fine geometric detail.
