Kumtel Home Appliances Case Study
Achieving 84% Sales Lift and 70% Return Reduction via 3D & WebAR
Detailed analysis of the Kumtel deployment.
Kumtel Home Appliances is a leading manufacturer of built-in kitchen appliances, ovens, heaters, and consumer electronics across Europe and the Middle East. Partnering with GlareAR technical studio, Kumtel transformed its e-commerce product display from static 2D imagery into high-precision photorealistic 3D models and web-based Augmented Reality (WebAR) experiences.
Traditional 2D product photos failed to convey true dimensional volume, material textures, and spatial fit. Online shoppers frequently hesitated over whether built-in ovens or kitchen appliances would fit their countertop space or match existing kitchen aesthetics. This uncertainty drove cart abandonment and high product return rates. Kumtel needed a zero-friction, app-free visualization infrastructure to bridge the gap between physical showrooms and digital storefronts.
GlareAR engineered 1:1 photorealistic digital twins directly from Kumtel's CAD manufacturing blueprints. Solution scope: App-Free WebAR enabled instant mobile AR preview without downloading native apps (iOS QuickLook & Android SceneViewer). In addition, a high-performance WebGL 3D engine delivering 60 FPS fluid rendering with dynamic lighting was embedded directly into product pages with zero script overhead.
Post-deployment analytics demonstrated significant commercial impact: 84% Sales Increase (conversion rate boosted on 3D/WebAR enabled product listings), 70% Return Rate Reduction (spatial sizing preview drastically reduced dimension misfits), 7x Dwell Engagement Lift, and 300% Interaction Lift in variant exploration.
